Hey I chose Chantal!!! (Finally)

Chan The Lovely!!

Well I cant believe I am doing this!!! A blog? This is my Life Long nightmare. I was the pudgy kid in school but now I am a little to plump for my 23 y.o Life. I am totaly doing this for me. I have been on multiple diet plans. Jenny Craig, Fat burn diet, Weight watchers, the cutting soda diet, the you know better diet. Whatever it is I have done it. This time I am going to literally focus on one day at a time. I am so happy to have you guys doing this with me. Brittany and Lynds. We are fly now and we are going to be in the the stratsophere.  I am so nervous of failing again. The most I have lost was 30 pounds for prom. I know that I can do this but I am extremely nervous of failing.Maybe, I am nervous of my success? I will say something inspired me Love of Jehovah and how I want to be the healthiest person I could be for him; so I could be in Full time service for as long as I can. But sometimes that wasn't the biggest push. Truly, with recent events in my life guys I felt as though I was not chosen simply because of my weight. This also includes jobs, relationships and self worth. It was you Brit that sent me that famous quote.

The keyword was PICK my self. It hit me like a bomb. I have never chosen myself. I always waited to be chosen or wanted to be qualified by someone Else's standard. Not anymore though!!! I am done! I am tired! Its Just me and Jehovah now!!! Truly, I have been dressing for myself. Wearing heel boots even though I know no one will see it but my close friends or girls. Its an amazing feeling to feel pretty at all times. I must say I will take that saying if "YOU STAY READY YOU NEVER GOT TO GET READY !!! SO this is my first post. I am excited and I am ready for the rest of January 2,2013. The next day has its battles ready. We will see when we get there!!

Lets get it girls,

Chantal ;)

Motivation

Lifelong battle or recent struggle, it SUCKS battling with weight. As a lifetime soldier in this war against the pudge, myself, I have been on every emotional roller coaster, miracle diet and "weight loss journey" I could conceive of. I've hated myself for failing, loved myself for trying and convinced myself that I had accepted my  body with every roll and ripple it came with. It. Is. Exhausting! Not to mention the added stress of poor body image that so many of us thicka' chicas have to deal with (Fortunately, my parents instilled in me a deep sense of confidence and realization of self worth so I've never felt ugly because of my weight or anything else). So what can we do to make the "war against the pudge" less intense? It shouldn't hold so much weight (pun intended).
In a world saturated with instant gratification, or a microwave society (a term I've fallen in love with), patience has become virtually nonexistent. We all want immediate results. We can fast forward through the commercials, defrost meat in minutes, take a miracle supplement to cut fat and/or reduce appetite. We're LAZY! So we forget that old adage, good comes to those who wait. Patience is a virtue. Belly fat cant be sucked off in a microwave. Only disappointment and discouragement will result with that attitude.
So I propose, ladies, that we pledge to devote the time and effort necessary to WIN this battle. I propose that we start slow because pushing too hard in the beginning will only make it easier to give up. And I propose that we view this journey as more than a weightloss venture but as a lifestyle change. We WILL be happier, healthier and..... just as nappy. Lets start with one change in our eating habits. One thing you think is attainable. We will conquer that and work on another change. My goal is to stop eating after 11pm. I am doing well so far. I propose that we make it our goal to lose 3-5 pounds a month. In a year we will have lost up to 60lbs. Slow and steady. I KNOW WE CAN DO THIS!
Don't know about you guys, but I'm pumped! This is just the beginning and with the help of each other, we will succeed. So please share, what are your short term goals?

Your self-appointed cheer leader,
Lyndsey  :)
